Program Overview
A clinical case will be utilized, covering a range of topics including allergy, asthma, and associated comorbidities. This case will be presented and discussed by an expert panel in a highly interactive manner. Video presentation of the case will be interspersed with evidence-based slides illustrating the latest data supporting clinical decision-making.
Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of practicing allergists/immunologists, fellows in accredited allergy/immunology training programs, and primary care physicians who care for allergy patients.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be better able to:
- Describe the role of small airway inflammation in patients with asthma
- Apply the National Asthma Education and Prevention Program’s Expert Panel Report 3: Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma (EPR-3) treatment guidelines with regard to assessing asthma severity and control in clinical practice
