Program Overview

Obesity is a highly-prevalent disease among primary care patients. Recent changes in the healthcare system, including The Affordable Care Act, have mandated practicing healthcare providers to provide adequate treatment and counseling for patients with obesity and who are overweight. In turn, this has created a tremendous opportunity in primary care practices to grow through improved management of these patients.

The Center for Medical Weight Loss’ primary mission is to empower healthcare providers to more effectively treat patients with obesity and weight problems. This program has been designed to provide physicians with the strategies to improve patient engagement and outcomes. This program will provide information and tools to seamlessly integrate an obesity medicine practice within your primary care practice and effectively counsel patients more effectively while increasing your weight loss patient program engagement.

This program is highly valuable for any primary care healthcare provider that is interested in treating obesity in their practice.
